Dr. Balaisis grew up in Toronto and earned her medical degree in Ottawa before moving to Vancouver in 2008 to complete her family medicine residency at UBC. She has been practicing in BC ever since, offering full-service family care to patients of all ages, from expectant parents and children to seniors. In addition to her comprehensive clinic practice, she works in the Downtown Eastside delivering general medical care and specialized addiction services. Outside the clinic, Dr. Balaisis stays balanced by heading to the mountains to hike or snowboard, hit the curling rink, dance, or explore local food spots.
