Greg Moloney graduated with honors in medicine from University of New South Wales and completed ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital in Australia.
He later moved to Vancouver, where he completed a fellowship at University of British Columbia in 2010 under the mentorship of Simon Holland and David Lin, while working closely with Pacific Laser Eye Centre. Following his fellowship, he joined UBC’s Department of Visual Sciences as a Clinical Assistant Professor.

In 2012, Dr. Moloney returned to Australia, where he continued teaching and research as a clinical lecturer at University of Sydney. As a refractive surgeon, he collaborated closely with Pacific Laser Eye Centre and helped advance treatment approaches for Keratoconus by combining custom topography-guided surface treatments with simultaneous corneal cross-linking using PLEC-developed algorithms. Together with Dr. Lin and Dr. Holland, he published research and presented extensively on these techniques, contributing to improved care for patients with keratoconus.
