Dr. Dean S. Elterman earned his medical degree and completed his residency in urologic surgery at the University of Toronto. In 2011, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He then pursued a two-year fellowship in Voiding Dysfunction, Neuro-Urology, Female Urology, and Pelvic Reconstruction at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.

Dr. Elterman has extensive experience in men’s health and survivorship, having worked at the Iris Cantor Men’s Health Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College as well as at the University of Toronto. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Prostate Cancer Rehabilitation Clinic at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Elterman completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.

He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction, the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, the International Neuromodulation Society, and the International Society of Men’s Health.
