Dr. Shayegan is an Associate Professor and Head of the Division of Urology at McMaster University. He holds the David Braley and Nancy Gordon Endowed Chair and serves as Director of the McMaster Institute of Urology.

He completed his medical education and urology residency at the University of Toronto, followed by a comprehensive fellowship in urologic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.

Since joining McMaster University in 2006, Dr. Shayegan has held numerous clinical and administrative leadership roles at the regional, provincial, and national levels. He remains actively engaged in advancing the quality and delivery of oncologic care for patients with genitourinary cancers. His clinical and research interests focus primarily on prostate and bladder cancer.
